The colour

Green is the colour of the two long ordinary stretches — growth, and the ordinary faithfulness of most of the year. Red for the Spirit and for blood: Pentecost, Passiontide, and the feasts of martyrs. Gold, or white where a parish has no gold set, for the principal feasts of the year. Colours in Ordinary Time: green, red, white/gold.

What changes in the service

The standard shape: Gloria and Creed included, nothing seasonal displacing them.
