The colour

Red for the Spirit and for blood: Pentecost, Passiontide, and the feasts of martyrs. White is festal — Christmas, Easter, and the feasts of the Lord. Many parishes use gold on the greatest of them. Gold, or white where a parish has no gold set, for the principal feasts of the year. Colours in Easter: red, white, white/gold.

What changes in the service

The Gloria returns and the Alleluia is sung freely, including in the dismissal.
