The booklet is one of thirty things due on Friday. It should be the one that takes ten minutes.

What it is like now

• The vicar sends the hymns on Thursday evening, sometimes.
• Seasonal changes mean rebuilding the document, and Advent arrives every year as a surprise.
• Large-print copies mean maintaining a second document that drifts out of step with the first.
• Nobody can produce it but you, so it follows you on holiday.

What changes

• One plan produces the A5 booklet, the A4 large-print version and the musicians’ summary — no second document.
• Seasonal changes are one click, and leave your parish’s own wording alone.
• The whole thing is a web page, so cover is a matter of sharing the login rather than a handover document.
• Last week’s choices are in front of you, not in someone's memory.

How it works

1. Set up your church once. Name, colour, badge, and whether you pray in traditional or contemporary language.
2. Build your order of service once. Walk through the service, including or omitting each part, pasting your own texts where you use your own. See the full Order One shape.
3. Each week, plan the Sunday. The readings and the psalm are already set out; choose hymns from suggestions matched to them, add the notices.
4. Print. An A5 booklet imposed for your photocopier, or A4 in larger type.
